The article presents a case report of ascariasis in a 60-year-old woman, which was not revealed during coprological survey. In addition, there were no indirect signs of parasitic infestation as an increased level of blood eosinophils. The diagnosis was established through irrigography and detection of antibodies to ascarides in the blood serum by means of enzyme immunoassay.
